A series of new works for strings and electronics
Italian-Irish violinist and rising chamber music star Violetta Suvini brings together three of the most creative, bold and thoughtful composers working today for a series of new works for strings and electronics.
New York-based Jasmine Morris won BBC Young Composer of the Year and has since written for the Viktoria Mullova Ensemble and Solem Quartet amongst many others. The ‘sonically dazzling’ (RPS) music of Ben Nobuto made waves when his Hallelujah Sim, performed by The BBC Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Chorus and Singers, opened the 2024 BBC Proms live on TV. Imogen Davey’s bewitching and daring compositions have been premiered as far afield as Seoul, Berlin, Barcelona, Helsinki and Melbourne thanks to her unique ability to connect with musicians and audiences, often using electronic, acoustic and visual elements in her work.
