A live working session exploring conduction, improvisation and selected scored material

As part of Echoes Of..., a series of intimate gatherings creating space for conversation, reflection and creative exchange, join Audio Visual Ensemble (AVE) for an open rehearsal at Bold Tendencies.

Led by artist Daniel Oduntan and guest composer/conductor Guilherme Peluci, who joins from Brazil, this public session opens up the ensemble’s working process. Audiences are invited to participate as musicians, vocalists, or by bringing images and objects to be scanned and incorporated into live projections. Sound, image and memory become materials shaped collectively in the moment, where observing is as much a part of the process as making.

Rather than a performance, this is a live working session exploring conduction, improvisation and selected scored material, accompanied by a responsive visual environment.

AVE is a platform bringing together musicians, visual artists and technologists to develop new work through collaboration and experimentation.

Daniel Oduntan is an interdisciplinary media artist working across sound, image and installation. Through improvisation, media research and live conduction, his practice explores memory, place and the everyday, examining how media, regeneration and artificial storytelling shape collective experience.
