Prepare to laugh, holler, and maybe even shed a tear with this eclectic programme
ZRI takes its name from a historic Viennese tavern called Zum Roten Igel (The Red Hedgehog) which was frequented by great musicians like Schubert and Brahms who rubbed shoulders with gypsy and folk musicians. Boundaries between genres were blurred as they became immersed in each other’s sound worlds.
This brilliant band of versatile musicians re-creates the heady atmosphere of the Red Hedgehog in their Cellar Sessions. Prepare to laugh, holler, and maybe even shed a tear with this eclectic programme which ranges from their versions of Bach and Schubert to Donna Summer and Taylor Swift.
