The Protecting Veil by John Tavener is one of very few classical works ever shortlisted for the Mercury Prize. Written for solo cello and accompanying string ensemble, the piece is presented here by music and dance students from Trinity Laban Conservatoire, and features the legendary British cellist, Raphael Wallfisch.
