A bold new production of Tavener's visionary work
The Protecting Veil by John Tavener is one of very few classical works ever shortlisted for the Mercury Prize. Written for solo cello and accompanying string ensemble, the piece is presented here by music and dance students from Trinity Laban Conservatoire, and features the legendary British cellist, Raphael Wallfisch. Expect to be immersed in glorious sound, and to be moved by the accompanying dance of this new interpretation.
