This performance explores repetition, transformation, and emotion
Through vigorous rhythms and kaleidoscopic harmonies, this performance explores repetition, transformation, and emotion— tracing the delicate threads between pulse and reflection. Anna Meredith’s boundary-pushing style collides with Henryk Górecki’s poignant lyricism against a backdrop of stunning visual projections.
Pairing new arrangements of Anna Meredith’s joyful and energetic works with Henryk Górecki’s emotionally charged Quasi una Fantasia we will create an evening that is both electrifying and meditative. Bespoke projections by animator Ewan Morris Jones, commissioned by Ligeti Quartet, will provide a stunning visual backdrop.
Powerful new operas exploring the climate crisis, social injustice and women’s perspectives, sit alongside reimagined classics.
