A feature film about the ups and downs of post-college life for Juilliard-trained viola player Isabel
Isabel Hagen hits all the right comedy notes with her writing and directorial debut about the ups and downs of post-college life for Juilliard-trained viola player Isabel (played by Hagen herself, who is also classically schooled). Isabel’s dull freelance music jobs lead to comic encounters with everyone from a pupil’s father (Fred Weller) to an irascible film director (Eric Bogosian). In her off-hours, she struggles to navigate life at home with her family and fresh interest from her arrogant, but successful, cellist ex (John Kroner), all while desperately trying to practice for a major audition with the New York Philharmonic. An indie comedy tour de force.
