Curious, playful and tender exploration of incomplete aural/oral/tactile history
loomeweight II official London launch - come and see our new loom! with new music from us and support from Edie Bailey and Worm Salad.
A new work two singers, loom and electronics, loomeweight is created collaboratively by Hestor Dart and Patricia Auchterlonie. loomeweight is a curious, playful, tender exploration of incomplete aural/oral/tactile history. Two performers sit across from each other, attached by the strings of a loom. They weave a tapestry of garbage and they sing fragments of songs which might have once been something.
Worm Salad - Worm Salad is an alchemical sonic experiment that seeks to expose the opposite of a thing's thingness. The band is comprised of Sam Taylor and Cameron Dodds - they collide in a devolving dialogue of speculative risk, expressed by improvised things. Noisy, squonky, chaotic and good.
Edie Bailey is a non-binary queer creative based in South-East London. A multi-disciplinary artist, their practice is informed by their work as an opera director, folk musician, and experimental composer and improvising performer. They have performed at Iklektik, Orleans House Gallery, Rich Mix, Copped Hall, Chisenhale Dance Space, Battersea Arts Centre, the Royal College of Music, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and Central (Birmingham.)
