Kings Place and Bird On The Wire are proud to present a special headline show from German pianist and composer Lambert with his trio featuring Luca Marini (drums) and Felix Veight (double bass).
Lambert is the pianist behind the Sardinian carnival mask. But what’s behind it? At times he provides solace, at others he strokes the cat we call melancholy. His flair for melodies both big and small is extraordinary. About this he is always open and honest. In every single note he plays, he sounds completely undisguised.
His latest record, 'Actually Good', was originally intended as the score for a TV series called The Stranger which he abandoned due to massive artistic differences with its director. As Lambert himself puts it: “'The Stranger' might be shit, but the music is ACTUALLY GOOD.”
