Aurora Orchestra ~ Norwich

  • Norwich Cathedral 65 The Close Norwich, England, NR1 4DH United Kingdom (map)

Get under the skin of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3, as we return to the Norwich Festival for the first time in seven years for a memorised performance of Eroica.

No symphony pulses more vigorously with the rhythms of political protest than Beethoven’s Eroica, whose defiant opening chords mark the arrival of the Romantic symphony.

Aurora Orchestra is known for its signature creative ethos, combining world-class performance with trailblazing presentation and programming. In 2014, they became the first professional orchestra in the modern era to perform a symphony entirely from memory, in which they performed Mozart’s 40th Symphony at the BBC Proms. They’ve collaborated widely across art forms and musical genres, working with an exceptional breadth of artists, ranging from Sarah Connolly, Ian Bostridge and Leonidas Kavakos to Wayne McGregor, Edmund de Waal and Björk.
