200 musicians from six orchestras perform across multiple stages

Taking the form of a mixtape brought to life, this multi-venue takeover of the Southbank Centre features classical music favourites including film soundtracks.

Tracks 1 & 2: kick things off in the Royal Festival Hall with the full London Philharmonic Orchestra playing the unforgettable ‘da-da-da-dum’ of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony. As the original orchestra on The Lord of the Rings soundtrack, the LPO also takes you to Middle Earth with music from the films.

Shuffle: From there, roam around and select tracks as the mood takes you. Each orchestra performs a 20-minute set on repeat throughout the evening. You can choose to listen again, skip and move on to another orchestra, or pause to catch up with friends at one of our bars.

The mixtape features an immersive experience with Chineke! Orchestra, a raucous oompah set by Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, the London Sinfonietta performing hypnotic works by Steve Reich, and a mountainous adventure featuring musicians from Aurora Orchestra.

Outro: Everyone returns to the Royal Festival Hall for a final showstopping performance by the Philharmonia Orchestra, including music from Star Wars and The Planets.
